                                         My Motherland

What is called my Motherland? Everyone thought on this issue, and each found his own answer. Motherland - is something great, personal and family heart. Each person has their own homeland and everyone has the right to love and be proud of it.
My Motherland is Ukraine and I am proud of the fact that I am Ukrainian. My parents, relatives,  friends and I were born here. I love my country, its steppes, forests, mountains, villages and cities, its people. I love our Ukrainian works of art, our Ukrainian songs and proverbs, wise tales, the works of famous writers.
I am proud to live in the country for such a rich history. Ukraine has millennial way - from Kievska Russ to modern independent country.
I want to travel and see other countries, to meet other people, but I believe that I will always want to return to my home, to my Ukraine. Here all my life. That is!

My Motherland – the place where I live

Ukraine is my Motherland and I`m very proud to be its citizen. So I`d like to tell you about my country.

Ukraine is one of the largest countries of  Eastern Europe. The capital of Ukraine is Kyiv. It is an independent state and it has its own government. The official language of the country is Ukranian. The national currency is hryvnia.

Motherland is the place where you were born. It is like your second home. Motherland is the place where you spend your entire life. If you travel somewhere or even move  it is very hard to leave because you are still going to miss it – your native city, the street and trees that you used to see out of your window every day… My Motherland is my «world».

There are a lot of places to see in Ukraine and to be proud of. There are the Carpathians with their legends, castles, cathedrals and unique traditions. There`s Kyiv - one of the oldest cities in Europe, with its historical monuments, museums, theatres, exhibition halls, art galleries and its rich cultural life. The Ukrainians are amiable people who will often gather in cafes or street markets to socialize. A common practice is for friends to visit each other at home to spend time chatting over tea. We, Ukrainians, also have our own national clothes which are different in many parts of Ukraine and very beautiful indeed. I’m proud to be living in a country full of natural and historic wonders. We should respect and love it, and do our best to help it.

                                         My Motherland

The word «Motherland» contains a very high sense. It has got its own significant meaning for everyone. Thinking about our Motherland, we think of great and wonderful country in which we were born.

My Motherland is Ukraine. It is very beautiful and historically rich country. How can I describe it? Ukraine is a country of vast fields, thick forests, picturesque mountains and deep lakes. I adore its gorgeous sunny-yellow fields of sunflowers, covered with snow frozen cranberries.

Ukraine is the country of kind-hearted, helpful people, who always stand up for their opinion, who don’t follow anyone’s rules. They are ready to give their lives to defend their territory. I was born in Ukraine, and I live here. Everything in my life is connected with this country, such as my first smile, my first step, my first word, my first class and my first achievement and success. I am sure that all good in my life happened in this country.

To tell the truth, I see a lot of advantages of living in Ukraine. Firstly, the people are absolutely particular. They are hospitable and generous. Secondly, my country has beautiful nature. Next, we have got a very tasty cuisine, with its delicious borsch and pumpushki, varenyky and sour-cream. I prefer Ukrainian food to any other one.

To sum up, our country is the best for me. It is developing quickly nowadays. In my view, I will be in demand as a professional in this country, because a very optimistic future is waiting for my country. I love my Ukraine.

MY MOTHERLAND

Mareus Cicero said “There is no place more delightful then home”.

I live in Donbas, an inseparable part of Ukraine, which is well-known for industrial enterprises and coal mines. My city isn’t very big, but it has a breathtaking scenery and great history. In the twentieth century the factories of Kostiantynivka supplied the whole country with glass goods and gland. Furthermore, our city is surrounded with beautiful and amazing nature of hills, parks, mountains. Most of all I like to walk on foot and find out some new places that were created by nature and man’s hand hasn’t destroyed or spoilt them.

I was born here, grew up and was formed as a citizen of Ukraine. From the childhood my parents brought me up to be a real patriot of my Motherland. The burning problem now is peace and stability in our country and in my region as it is war in Ukraine now. Our country’s proposals and initiatives point to realistic ways of maintaining world peace. In spite of this fact, I worry about the future of my state. My country is like a bleeding heart, and I am eager military actions to be stopped because any war means tears, sufferings and death. Our Motherland is like a castle for which we have to struggle and take care of.

Why is Ukraine so important for me? My native land is important for me because it is so wonderful, picturesque, incredibly loved by me. Kleban Byk is worthy of seeing with your own eyes. It is a nature reserve where you have opportunities to breathe the fresh air, to acquaint with the wildlife of the steppe and watch the birds, boars, foxes, wolves and other types of animals.

I cannot but mention the people of my country. Every citizen of our country has indeed all reasons to be proud: proud of its past and present history that reflects the glory of Cossacks, peasants and the working people. However, the present and future generations should make great efforts to overcome the problems of independence, unity and welfare.

The climate of Ukraine is moderate that is why our soil is favorable for agriculture. To tell the truth, we are lucky to have our own resorts where it is possible to have a rest and to obtain more positive emotions. In the south the coasts of our state are washed with the seas: the Azov Sea and the Black Sea. In addition to this the western part of Ukraine is famous for thick forests in the Carpathians.

In fact, Donetsk and the surrounding city region is a land of developed industry including metallurgy, chemistry, coal mines. It is fully covered with slagheaps that seem to be real mountains, which create a mountain range.

I cannot but admire our talented Ukrainian people! Actually, there are a lot of renowned people who have famed our Motherland. For instance, Arhip Kuindzhi- a famous artist, Sergei Prokofiev- a composer, Sergei Bubka – the only champion of the world in jumping with a pole in height, Vadim Pisarev- a dancer and Volodymyr Sosyura the famous Ukrainian poet.

I wish my country to flourish, to be independent and to have decent standards of living. I will do my best to make contribution into a peaceful development of my Motherland. I am sure all my dreams come true!

My Motherland

Every person has Motherland. It is a place where you were born and grew up. My Motherland is Ukraine, Donbas, and Kostiantynivka. It is a small town where I saw the sun and the sky at first time, said first words and did first steps. Here I became a personality. Every place which I see here reminds me some episode of my life: my victories and defeats. I'm not sure if I will stay to live in this city when I grow up. Everybody likes baby birds flying way from native nests trying to look for new places, but whatever happens a small part of my Motherland will always be in my heart. I shall remember landscapes of my native town, quiet streets.

As any person who loves his Motherland I want it to become better every day. I want the youth to love Kostiantynivka and come here to live and glorify the town. Time changes everything, but it cannot change my love to my town. In conclusion to mention the words of our writer whose book I have read «Svetlyachki» Arutiunian Sira: “I love my native town and respect the whole country!” Every person understands words in different way.

Love and think about our Motherland wherever you are!
